Advice is that you blow your nose in a tissue and throw it away. Wouldn't it be less infectious if we threw it in a toilet and flushed it? Why don't we do that?

@charlag waste water goes through a water treatment plant that kills all kinds of disease through heavy chemical treatment.

Many times (though that's changing) it isn't even brought back into the drinking water system.

@ted which chemical treatment? It's not always chemical AFAIK and idk what do they use (not everything kills viruses)
