Advice is that you blow your nose in a tissue and throw it away. Wouldn't it be less infectious if we threw it in a toilet and flushed it? Why don't we do that?

@RAOF I didn't realize that facial tissues don't break down in water. Got told that on Twitter from the cross post.

@ted I didn't have specific knowledge there; just that if sewerage people thought they could get away with asking people not to flush toilet paper down the toilet they would 😉

@RAOF I've been wanting to try a bidet for a while, but there's no power near my toilet. Seems like a better solution overall.
