Our favorite local sports bar has decided it isn't opening back up, forever. Sad to see a small business go away.

Feel like in this time of social distancing and quarantine we need a meme for: "Video call that should have been an email."

While I've been critical of folks saying that any reopening is a crime, clearly partial reopening only works if people take it seriously. Which it seems they aren't. And that clearly is going to cause more harm than good. — feedproxy.google.com/~r/dmagaz

I'm a liberal and I think what Texas is doing makes sense for the level of outbreak that is state-wide. Clearly Counties such as Dallas, Travis and Harris that are having more outbreak should be more restrictive. And they are. This makes sense based on the data available.

Frustrated with knee-jerk reactions on stay-at-home orders. We're going to need to move to a world where we're managing outbreaks, and not everywhere will have one. To the point where state-wide orders don't make sense, especially in large states.

Perhaps it would be better to make it simulated for the first part of its journey, then pick up live once it is fifteen minutes from my house. Simulate it being in storage, and then leaving an hour out on a mock route to catch up to that final fifteen minutes.

While I understand that UPS is trying to keep up with the times by providing a "Live Map" of my package, it is very unsatisfying to watch my package dance around town and not come to my house.

It reminds me of the time I called tech support for my Internet connection and they asked how many devices I had on my network. At the time it was something like twenty. They then tried to upsell me more bandwidth. Lots of assumptions in concluding that number of devices correlates to bandwidth needed.

Switched my LXD configuration so the containers all grab IPs from the local network. Now my router thinks there are SO MANY machines on the network.
