Personally, I was wishy-washy on the whole thing, and then I heard the Whitehouse Defense team's arguments on the reach of executive power. I think their view, which would become enshrined with an acquittal, would be harmful to our republic moving forward.

Called my Senators to state my opinion on the trial to remove the President from office. An important time for our republic, you should ensure your Senators understand your thoughts on it. It may not change their decision, but letting them know can push the needle.

I'm often confused about where people put "robot checks" on the web.

For the record, I'm cool if a robot pays my utility bill for me.

Strikes me how some of the framers of the US gov't warned against political parties as they could break down the separation of powers they worked so hard on; and we're seeing their worst fears in the Senate trial today.
